Melvin Poh
Melvin Poh is the founder of Empirics Asia, a knowledge crowd-publishing platform that seeks to gather and provide access to the collective knowledge of Asia through all social fields. To date, Empirics has published over 1 million open-access articles, worked with thousands of authors around the region and has established extensive international readership. The organisation has also actively worked with governments and notable stakeholders around the region to pursue various innovative ecosystem initiatives. With Empirics, Melvin is on a mission to create a single centralised and open-access hub for human knowledge, experience and insights. He remains very passionate about integrating technology in bettering human understanding. In recognition of his work, Melvin has been featured on the lists of Forbes 30 Under 30, Prestige’s Top 40 Under 40 and Tatler’s Generation T. Industry Leader. His contributions to the region have been formally recognised by Harvard University in its Project for Asia Pacific International Relations. In addition, Melvin has also received a prestigious nomination for influential leadership from the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader.
