Dzuleira Abu Bakar
A Malaysian-grown tech professional with 17 years of experience across various industries with positions both in the private sector and GLIC/GLCs, Dzuleira started her career in the early 2000s and now carries with her the vast expertise on private equity and venture capitalism to lead Technology Park Malaysia (TPM).
In her years of venture capital career, she has evaluated countless deals and invested in many Malaysian and regional companies. Dzuleira weaves these pieces of knowledge and experience as an advocate for the startup community while leading the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC). She also initiated programs critical to technology development, such as National Innovation and Technology Sandbox (NTIS) and the critically-acclaimed Global Accelerator Program (GAP).
As TPM’s CEO, she currently carries the mandate to transform the company into a premier tech park to lead the commercialisation of homegrown technology. She is also overseeing the merger of TPM and MaGIC, which will create MRANTI, a new tech commercialisation accelerator agency fully operational by 2022.
